Waxing FAQs

Q. Will waxing hurt?
You might feel a quick sting, but our hypoallergenic film wax and skin-soothing aftercare minimize discomfort. Most clients say it's easier than expected—especially with our expert techniques.

Q. Can I wax while on my period?
Yes! Just wear a fresh tampon or cup and be aware your skin may feel a bit more sensitive during this time.

Q. How long does my hair need to be?
Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long (about the length of a grain of rice). Too short, and the wax can’t grip it.

DO NOT SHAVE right before your wax appointment.

Q. What should I NOT do before a wax?

While waxing is pretty routine these days there are a few things you want to avoid doing right before (24 hrs or less). By avoiding these things you are reducing the risk of discomfort and skin irritations.

You should not:

Exercise

Sun Tan / Spray Tan

Deep Exfoliation

Take a hot bath/shower

Q. Do I need to do anything to my skin before a wax?

You can prep your skin by keeping it hydrated prior to your wax appointment by applying a light weight non scented & dye free lotion.

Gentle exfoliation with a scrub (sea salt or sugar) is also recommended to do a day before your wax to remove any excessive dead skin cells and to loosen any ingrown hairs.

(PRO TIP - Keeping the skin well hydrated will decrease discomfort during your waxes!)

Q. Will waxing make the hair thicker?

No! It is just the opposite. Waxing creates a thinner, finer, and ultimately softer hair because we are slowly destroying the follicle at the source. This weakens the cells creating the softer feel, and eventually no hair growth!

Q. What kind of wax do you use?

We are a film hard wax only wax establishment. We have chosen an all natural hypoallergenic wax that is effective at picking up every hair, and is super gentle on the skin. You will never leave feeling sticky or with overly red irritated skin. Even the most sensitive skin types are safe with this wax. We use the same hard wax from head to toe!

Facial FAQs

Q. How do I know which facial is right for me?
If you're unsure, book a free consultation or a “Clean Reset” to get started. Our estheticians will assess your skin and guide you toward the right treatment plan.

Q. Can I get a facial the same day as waxing?
Yes—but we recommend spacing treatments out unless you're doing a facial + brow/lip wax. Brazilian or body waxing is best done separately to avoid overstimulation.

Q. Do I need to stop using my skincare products before a facial?
We recommend pausing exfoliants (like retinol or glycolic acid) 3–5 days before your treatment to avoid irritation.

Lash & Brow FAQs

Q. What’s the difference between a lash lift and extensions?
A lift enhances your natural lashes by curling and tinting them—no maintenance required. Extensions add length and fullness using soft individual lashes for a more dramatic look.

Q. Do you offer brow shaping or lamination?
Yes! We specialize in precision brow shaping, tinting, and brow laminations that create symmetry and lift.

Q. Can I wear makeup to my lash appointment?
Please arrive with clean lashes—no mascara, makeup, or oily products. It helps us give you the best, longest-lasting result.
